Dues & Requirements

Annual membership dues for the Palmetto Garden Club of Mount Pleasant are due by July 1 for the upcoming Club year.

Active members are encouraged to earn credits annually by:

Attending at least 5 of the nine regular meetings each year.
Serving on at least 1 committee or contributing a minimum of 8 service credits annually.

Service credits may be earned through a variety of activities, such as:

Serving as a hostess for a monthly meeting
Participating on a committee
Assisting with garden maintenance or clean-up projects
Supporting special events, crafting workshops, or fundraising initiatives

Your participation helps our Club continue to thrive and nurture both community and friendship.

The Palmetto Garden Club of Mount Pleasant welcomes anyone with an interest in plants, flowers, gardening, as well as community involvement.

MEMBERSHIP EXPECTATIONS

All members are asked to:

Attend at least five (5) of the nine (9) Club meetings each year. Members anticipating long-term absences should notify the Membership Chair of extenuating circumstances.
Fulfill a minimum of eight (8) service credits annually by volunteering in Club activities, events, or programs.

WAYS TO EARN SERVICE CREDITS

Credits can be earned through a variety of club activities:

Garden Clean Up and Planting Days – 1 session = 3 credits
Garden Maintenance (watering, weeding, checking for pests & disease) – 1session = 1 credit
Show and Tell Presentation = 3 credits
Hostess 1 Meeting = 1 credit
Flower Show Entry Horticulture = 1 credit per entry
Floral Design = 2 credits per entry
Serve on a Committee 1 Club Year = 3 credits
Special Projects (crafting workshops, flower show volunteers, fundraising table staffing, working on educational programs or exhibits) = 2-4 credits based on time and complexity as determined by the Vice President and President
Committee Chairs meet credit requirements for the year
